Last week, Refinery29 S.F. posted about paper illustrator Chloe Fleury, and I just had to share the love!
First of all, her studio is amazing — particulary her use of a wooden dowel to keep her washi tape and ribbon in an easy-to-access place, and how saturated with color and textures it is. Not to mention, Chloe is adorable, and her work is so detailed and unique. Head over to Refinery29 to see the full tour!
Make sure to check out Chloe’s studio, hopscotch design — her commissioned pieces are seriously jaw-dropping.
My favorite pieces are her S.F. neighborhood posters (I’m so curious about what North Beach would look like…)
I think I may need to treat myself to the DIY Paper Rabbit Bust kit…

If the short amount of time between Halloween and Thanksgiving is any indication of how quickly December will speed by, I need to start doing some major Christmas shopping. Unfortunately, I don’t have a ton of extra cash to spend on my pals this year (I wish I could buy them all a puppy, a plane ticket to Fiji and an unlimited Starbucks gift card…someday, maybe?) so I’ve been doing some research into fab presents that aren’t going to set me back a whole paycheck. I’m a big believer that hand made gifts are the best gifts, but who doesn’t love to get ‘er done in two hours at the mall?
Here are some gifts ideas for your GFs (or yourself – whatevs!) that aren’t going to force you to live off of Top Ramen for the next month:
[Paper Gem Coasters, $20; Silverware Print, $9; Liberty Crystal Braid Bracelet, $39.50; Sephora by OPI Its Real 14K Gold Top Coat, $15; Friendship Bracelet, $30; Chevron Frame, $28; Home Is Where My Cat Is Print, $15; Monogram Notecards, $18; Mini Ban.do Heart, $10; Market Tote, $25; Printed Backup Battery for iPhone, $39.50; Floral Perpetual Weekly Planner, $17.95; The Studio Sweater, $44.95; Sea Gleam Hurricane Candle Votive, $18.]
I just want it all! Winston in particular…I think we could be very happy together.
